Obituary of Bernard Lupole

S. Bernard Lupole of Apalachin S. Bernard Lupole, 91, of Apalachin, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Lupole Scanlin; and a grandson, Robert Scanlin. He is survived by his wife, Lois Lupole, Apalachin, a granddaughter, Valerie Greer, Morristown, N.J.; a grandson, David Scanlin, Endicott; brothers and sisters, Robert Lupole, Marian Makrowski, Donald Lupole, Shirley Noyes, Keith Lupole; also numerous nieces and nephews. Bernard was a retired employee of the IBM Corp. and a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club; a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Navy; a volunteer with the Delta Lake Bible Conference Center and manager of the center's "This and That" shop. He was the oldest member of the Tracy Creek Memorial Church, Vestal. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to the Tracy Creek Memorial Church, 4 Knight Rd., Vestal, N.Y. 13850. A memorial service for Bernard will be held at a later date.
