Obituary of David W Carroll

David W. Carroll Vestal: David W. Carroll, 81, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 05, 2013. He was predeceased by a nephew, Paul Carroll; and son-in-law, Keith Parker. David is survived by his wife, Charlotte, who he cherished for 58 years; six children and spouses, James & Michele Carroll, Otter Lake, NY, Joseph Carroll, Westville, NJ, Linda Parker, Plano, TX, Lorretta & Mike Cromie, Cary, NC, Michael & Jennifer Carroll, Sarasota FL and Thomas & Kim Carroll, Media PA. David was blessed with 16 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Carol Carroll, Cape Vincent, NY; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church of Vestal, a retired Employee of NYSEG, and an honorably discharged veteran on May 16th, 1953 with the US Navy serving in the Korean conflict on the USS Denis J. Buckley. David was an avid bowler and an avid NY Mets fan. He takes credit for being the only Mets fan through the good & bad. He was involved with genealogy. David's family was the center of his world, and will be greatly missed by his family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park with full Military Honors. The Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 765 Main Street, Vestal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to the Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
