Obituary of Elsie G Fisher

Elsie G. Fisher Vestal: Elsie G. Fisher, 88, of Vestal, NY, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Myrtle (Clark) Van Dusen; brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Viola Van Dusen; and nephews, John Van Dusen and Richard Van Dusen. Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ernest; children, Linda (Bill) Scheben of Afton, NY, Craig (Kathy) Fisher of Evergreen, CO, Alan (Paula) Fisher of Berkshire, NY; brothers, Roger (Betty) Van Dusen of Zellwood, FL, Rodney (Sylvia) Van Dusen of Barefoot Bay, FL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elsie proudly served in the US Navy during World War II and retired from General Electric Company to enjoy traveling, bridge, and golf when she wasn't shopping. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers at Elizabeth Church Manor and a special thank you to Eleanor Johnson for all her kindness. The family will receive friends at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, immediately followed by the funeral service. Interment will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Research, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.
