Obituary of Genevieve Decker
Genevieve Wilson Decker formerly of Endicott Genevieve WIlson Decker, 81, of Glens Falls, N.Y., formerly of Endicott, passed away Tuesday, 1/13/09, at the Susquehanna nursing home, Johnson City. She was predeceased by husbands, William Wilson and Maynard Decker; a brother, Leon Williams; mother, Mabel Cosler; and sisters, Betty Jennings and Mary Avery. She is survived by a son, Raymond Wilson, Binghamton; a daughter, Kathleen Tokos, Glens Falls; a grandson, William Tokos; a granddaughter and her husband, Jessyca and Charles Darrah; a great-grandson, Charles Alexander; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Roxanne Yagley; also several pets. Genevieve was an Endicott resident before she moved to Glens Falls and was a retired IBM employee working in the Laser Dept. in the 1980's. She had the gift of "gab" and enjoyed taking photos. She loved her home, children, and pets. Special thanks to Debbie Metz for her help with motivating Mom's big dream, "a nursing home dog show." The funeral and interment service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. A spring burial will be held at the Tioga Cemetery on her birthday, May 6. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you become informed about the New York State Nursing Home Transition-Diversion Waiver Program; this allows loved ones the dignity to remain in their homes.
