Obituary of Glenn Newberry

Glenn A. Newberry Endicott: The Rev. Glenn A. Newberry, 100, Endicott, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, James A. and Ruth A. Newberry; and his sister, Kathryn A. Wigle. He is survived by two beloved brothers and their wives, Merle and Teresa Newberry of Endicott and Lysle and Elizabeth Newberry of Niagara Falls, NY and their extended families. A great ecumenist, Mr. Newberry is also survived by many beloved friends and countless spiritual "little children 'till Christ be formed in" them (Gal. 4:19). Born in Vestal, Mr. Newberry grew up in Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School. After college and seminary, he worked many years in religious and corporate communications. Before retirement, Mr. Newberry was pastor of several American Baptist and United Methodist churches in New York's Finger Lakes region. There will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Final arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott. Memorial expressions of sympathy may favor the church of charity of donor's choice.
