My last visit with one of my best teachers was at her blueberry farm. We had come home for a visit and brought our son up to pick blueberries. She treated him like he was one of her own grandchildren. It's kind of funny that my two favorite teachers Ruth and Lee Campfield were with a subject I hated, Gym and wearing the ugly gym suit we had back in those 70's and early 80s. But see these two special teachers were also my friends. I will miss the thought of Ruth gone from this earth but know she's in heaven and some day we will meet again. That I pray comforts all of her children,grand and great grand children, family,friends and the many students she taught through the years. Most of the time my teaching was on the side lines in a cast but despite that she taught me the most important thing loving others. Rip Mrs. Adamek

I was so blessed to have known Grandma A! She was a spitfire, a gentle but strong soul, charismatic and full of life. What a wonderful family she molded, and what a legacy she leaves behind. I'm only saddened I didn't grow up with her as my own! Safe and happy homegoing, Gma A! xo

To Ruth's family and friends: Ruth was a very special teacher when I was a student at UE! I loved to run and she encouraged me to do so. Since she was so young at the time, she seemed to interact very well with all of us and I know my whole class thought the world of her. Later as I was raising my family, my children and I went to Adamek's Blueberry Farm and picked blueberries. So many fond memories!

Many blessing to the family. I remember Ms. Adamek from growing-up in West Corners and also as my phys-ed teacher at UE. A very kind and strong woman indeed! God bless always.

I send my sincere condolences to all the Adameks with whom I was lucky enough to spend many years with their wonderful extended family. I first met Aunt Ruth in the gym at Jennie F Snapp and I knew she was special (just like Aunt June and Uncle Paul) immediately. She lived a fabulous long life.
