Marilyn Myers
To Kate, Anna, Greta, Ken, and all Marilyn’s extended Family: Our heartfelt condolences go out to you all. We were deeply grieved to learn of Marilyn’s passing. She was a wonderful person and great friend to us all. She and Cliff were the best neighbors anyone could ever have. Our enduring friendship with her over the years has been a steadying beacon of sunny light to us through all of our lives’ varied events. We will sorely miss her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her, and all of you.
With abiding love and fond remembrance,
Karl, Maureen, Anni and Elizabeth (Lee) Smith

I can remember one Sunday worship at South Hill Presbyterian Church with Marilyn very well. I, among others, were asked to stand up during the beginning announcements. We were asked the question, “Do you know what day it is?” The response was, “I know what day it is!” Five or six congregants were called on in a similar manner with the same question. When Marilyn was called upon, she said, “I DON’T know what day is.” The first five or six, along with the rest of the congregation, had been told the secret: it was “Marilyn Myers Day,” a day to honor Marilyn to thank her for all she was doing to make our world a better place. Her memorial will be just that, I’m sure! Week done, Faithful Servant, well done!

What an amazing mother and grandmother! She was a great combination of sensible and loving. She included her family's friends in her embrace, for which I am grateful.
