I knew Gary well for a year during our Vietnam tour of duty on top of Monkey Montain, Vietnam. I tried for decades to get in touch with Gary but could not find a phone number or Social Media post to find him. For last resorts I reluctantly searched the online obituaries and found my old friend and war brother had passed. We kept each other busy laughing at each other’s jokes and antics to break the fear and boredom of our nightly sentry duty. I have fond memories of our time in Vietnam and I’m sorry our paths did not pass during our good lives. Slow hand salute to my brother and condolences to his family and special souls in his life. He was a good person.
