Obituary of Howard M. Seymour

Howard M. Seymour 81, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Howard grew up in Apalachin, N.Y. He graduated from Owego Free Academy in 1959 and continued his education at Maryland University, Broome Technical College, and Elmira College. He worked at IBM Owego for 30 years and retired in 1999 from Lockheed Martin as an Advisory Engineer. Howard was an avid bowler, enjoyed restoring antique cars, hunting rocks and minerals, metal detecting, and playing senior softball. His longtime dream to restore his 1957 Chevy was recently met. Howard was a true friend to so many. He was a kind, generous and loving man whose main passion in life was his family. He set a standard to live by that we were all so blessed to be a part of. He will be greatly missed. Howard was predeceased by his parents, Harmon and Lucille Seymour, his brother Richard Seymour and wife Gay, brother Donald Seymour and wife, Jane. He is survived by Emily, his wife of 58 years, son Eric (Janelle) Seymour and daughter Kristin Seymour. Grandchildren Ashley, Bryce, Jenna, Jaelynn, Dylan and Nathan, many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Howard's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 29th at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 6519 Rt. 434 Apalachin, N.Y. with Rev. Jeahyun Kook officiating. The family will receive friends at the Apalachin Funeral Home both Friday, October 28th from 4-6pm and Saturday from 10am until service time at 12pm.
